What is Crewmember Access Point?

In simple terms, Crewmember Access Point (CMAP) is a TSA regulated program that will replace the Known Crewmember® (KCM®) Program.

When will KCM® transition to CMAP? 

The transition process to CMAP will start in June 2025 with completion by November 2025. 

 

Will there be an ID badge? 

Yes. AirTera stands ready to support your crewmembers with a TSA-approved credential that meets both TSA and ICAO requirements. This ID badge will be managed through the same platform you are currently using for your KCM® badges, providing a seamless transition. . 

What should I expect?

AirTera is actively working with TSA to ensure a smooth and streamlined transition from KCM® to CMAP within its safety and security platform. Our team is proactively updating our training, compliance and data management systems to meet CMAP requirements, ensuring you can participate in both KCM® and CMAP programs effortlessly until the transition to the CMAP; there is no need for you to complete a new enrollment.

What can I do now?

Ask your KCM® enrolled employees to log into their employee dashboard and complete the "KCM Additional Information" item. This includes entering their passport information. This is not required for program participation at this time, but will affect their access to airport CMAP entry points when the program is launched.
